Cosmetic Dentistry Services

Modern cosmetic dentistry can help if you’re unsatisfied with your smile. We can focus on improving the appearance of your mouth, teeth, gums, and overall smile. Cosmetic dentistry aims to create a positive change in your teeth and smile. Although it’s not an essential procedure, cosmetic treatment can restore confidence in your smile.

The most popular option in cosmetic dentistry is tooth whitening. Our preferred method combines at-home and in-office supervised whitening systems that brighten stained, discolored, or dull-looking teeth.

Veneers are the second most popular cosmetic dentistry option. They are used to correct chipped, cracked, or worn teeth. Veneers are ultra-thin tooth coverings made of porcelain.

Bonding is another process also used to repair chipped, cracked, or worn teeth.

Crowns, dental bridges, and dental implants can be used to replace missing teeth or correct bite dysfunction. Today’s newer technology includes porcelain and ceramic tooth replacements that look real and blend with existing teeth.

We can correct excessive or uneven gums with cosmetic surgery.
Many patients with failing old or unsightly fillings can also opt to have them replaced with more cosmetic options such as indirect porcelain or direct composite fillings.

The goal of dentistry is to help people maintain healthy teeth and gums. Cosmetic Dentistry focuses on treatments that improve the appearance of your smile. Examples of aesthetic issues that it can address include discolored or yellow teeth, gaps or chips, and a smile that shows too much gum.

Prosthodontists are experts in restoring teeth. They can improve the appearance of your teeth through procedures like dental whitening, bonding, and composite fillings, in addition to the transformative effects of dental crowns and veneers.

Our top priority is ensuring that our patients do not experience any pain during their procedures. For instance, bonding and composite procedures for filling in chips are usually completed with minimal discomfort. Our in-office teeth whitening treatment is highly effective and can yield dazzling results quickly, but may cause some initial sensitivity to temperature. If this occurs, your provider can assist you in assessing and addressing the issue.

Cosmetic Dentistry procedures are typically not covered by most insurances. Obeid Dental operates as a Fee for Service Provider and is categorized as an ‘out of network provider’ for most insurances. We are more than happy to submit all claims to your insurance and any benefits will be paid directly to you.

A tooth veneer is a thin layer of porcelain that is bonded to the tooth after minor preparation. They provide a harmonized esthetic look and the results will last for a long time.
In general they fall into two categories: porcelain, which is hand built with powder and liquid or E-max veneers, which are made by layers of porcelain.
Getting a veneer usually causes little discomfort since most veneer preparation require little removal of tooth structure.
Veneers require very minor preparation of the tooth surface and sometimes no preparation at all.
The veneer is glued to your teeth with a special cement that ensures durability.

Veneers are a 3 step process:

  • Initial consultation and diagnostic work up, followed by mock up veneers try in, to
    ensure ideal aesthetics and fit
  • Tooth preparation appointment to get the teeth ready for the veneers, impression
    and placement of temporary veneers
  • Veneers are cemented into place.

The veneers process typically is completed in 2 weeks.

Normal home care and regular dental hygiene visits.
This can vary by patient. The manufacturers of dental veneers suggest an average range of 5-10 years.
Obeid Dental is a fee for service practice. We are considered an out of network specialist provider for insurance carriers. We will submit for any dental procedures to your carrier and the company will reimburse you directly for based on their fee schedule and your annual member benefits.
Veneers are an irreversible treatment. If reversible treatments (such as laser whitening) do not result in the desired aesthetic, then veneers are a safe and effective treatment option.
